TCG KINALIADA Visits Hong Kong as Part of Turkey-Japan Diplomatic Relations Centenary Celebrations
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Japan, TCG KINALIADA continues its journey to Japan with a visit to Hong Kong from May 30 to June 1, 2024. On May 30, 2024, a formal visit was made to Deputy Chief of Staff of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Hong Kong Garrison, Col. Liu Zhaohui, by our Hong Kong Consul General Sercan Evcin, Beijing Military Attache Col. Kaan Gülerce, and the Commander of TCG KINALIADA.
During the port visit, an introduction to the capabilities and features of TCG KINALIADA was presented to the Deputy Chief of Staff of the PLA Hong Kong Garrison and its personnel. Furthermore, a reception was hosted on board the ship by the Hong Kong Consul General and the Commander of TCG KINALIADA. The event saw the participation of many distinguished guests, including Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in Hong Kong Cui Jianchun, Hong Kong Deputy Prime Minister Cheuk Wing-hing, Deputy Secretary for Security Howard Yam, along with foreign diplomatic representatives and members of the press.
