YILDIRIM-2024 Mobilization Drills: Air Force Commands Conduct Rapid Runway Repair Operations
Under the YILDIRIM-2024 Mobilization Drills, a total of 22 units within the Main Jet Base Commands and Airfield Commands of the Air Force Command tested and inspected mobilization activities. From May 2 to May 31, 2024, Rapid Runway Repair activities were carried out with the participation of public institutions and organizations within this framework. These drills aim to enhance the effectiveness of existing systems and identify potential deficiencies.
According to the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey, the exercises are critical to ensuring operational readiness and resilience, allowing military and civil infrastructure to remain functional during emergencies.
