Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler Celebrates the 113th Anniversary of the Air Force Command
In a significant event marking the proud history of Turkish aviation, Defense Minister Yaşar Güler today received Air Force Commander General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu and other Air Force personnel on the occasion of the Air Force Command’s 113th anniversary. Deputy Minister Bilal Durdalı was also present at the event.
Minister Güler extended his congratulations on the Air Force’s anniversary, highlighting its transformation into one of the world’s most distinguished and respected air forces. He stressed that the Turkish Air Force, with its rich history, skilled personnel, and advanced technology, stands as a source of national pride.
Güler emphasized that Turkey is now one of the select nations capable of producing its own combat and training aircraft, as well as helicopters. He specifically mentioned projects such as HÜRKUŞ, HÜRJET, GÖKBEY, and KAAN as testament to this achievement. Güler credited the progress to the dedication and efforts of the heroes advancing the local and national defense industry.
The Minister assured that work would continue to further strengthen the Air Force, maintaining their commitment and motivation in production activities. He underscored the necessity of the Air Force in being a powerful, effective, and deterrent force to protect Turkey’s rights and interests.
Conveying his faith in the Air Force’s continued success into the second century of the Republic and under the vision of the “Turkish Century,” Minister Yaşar Güler expressed his gratitude to all commanders and heroic personnel, while celebrating the 113th anniversary of the Air Force Command.
