Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler participated in a panel organized to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation. The event, held at the National Defense University, also saw the attendance of President Ersin Tatar of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) Command also accompanied Minister Güler at the panel.
During the event, the significance of the Cyprus Peace Operation and its historical value for the Turkish Cypriots were emphasized. Furthermore, the relations between Turkey and Northern Cyprus from past to present were discussed in depth.
