Turkish Air Force Participates in NATO Operations in Eastern Mediterranean to Enhance Maritime Security
A Turkish Air Force E7-T Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft participated in the “Operation Sea Guardian” in the international airspace over the Eastern Mediterranean, providing support to NATO’s Standing Naval Maritime Group-2 (SNMG2). This mission aimed to bolster Turkey’s cooperation with NATO allies and to enhance maritime security in the region, according to the Turkish Ministry of National Defense.
The E7-T AEW&C aircraft carried out the mission by providing early warning and control support to NATO’s naval forces, showcasing Turkey’s significant contribution to international maritime security efforts and reaffirming its support for the NATO alliance.
The Ministry of National Defense announced this development, underscoring the importance of the mission in strengthening both national and allied security partnerships.
