Turkey and Cambodia Vow to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Vice President of Turkey, Cevdet Yılmaz, met with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, Sok Chenda Sophea, at the Presidential Complex. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation as well as regional and global issues. Both officials emphasized the goal of increasing the trade volume between the two countries to $1 billion.

Yılmaz highlighted that this year marks the 65th anniversary of Turkey’s diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Cambodia, underscoring the importance of enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in culture and tourism. He also expressed a desire for the continued close dialogue at the political level and growing relations between parliamentarians and private sector representatives.

Vice President Yılmaz thanked Sophea and his delegation for their visit and expressed his wish for continued and enhanced cooperation between the two countries.
