Over 200 civilians have lost their lives, and hundreds have been injured in an Israeli attack on the Nusayrat Refugee Camp in Gaza. AK Party Ankara MP, Fuat Oktay, has strongly condemned the assault.
Oktay emphasized that the attack and the ongoing massacres of innocent civilians in Gaza cannot be justified under any circumstances. He also stated that not only Israel but also the countries supporting and remaining silent about these massacres are responsible.
As the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Oktay announced that he will travel to Cairo to discuss the latest assault in Gaza and other regional issues with the Heads of the Foreign Affairs Committees of the Egyptian House of Representatives and Senate. During the discussions, Oktay will evaluate the possibilities of achieving a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, ensuring the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to the region, and exploring what can be done through parliamentary diplomacy for a two-state solution based on the 1967 borders.
