İYİ Parti Leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu issued a message on the occasion of the 571st anniversary of the Conquest of Istanbul. In his message, Dervişoğlu highlighted the significance of Istanbul and emphasized Turkey’s pride in this historical achievement.
Dervişoğlu stated, “Happy 571st anniversary of the conquest of our precious Istanbul, the dream of all past civilizations and the apple of the world’s eye. Let those who make plans about Istanbul without taking lessons from history hear this; the world’s center is a Turkish ‘land’ and will continue to remain so.”
On this important day, he also added, “I commemorate our ancestors with respect and mercy, particularly the great commander Fatih Sultan Mehmet, who changed the course of history with unwavering faith and determination.”
