Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek Announces Implementation of Mandatory Disaster Insurance by End of June
Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek has announced the activation of mandatory disaster insurance by the end of June.
During a press conference held by the Ministry of Finance, Şimşek stated that this insurance will cover not only earthquakes but also other natural disasters. In the event of an earthquake, buildings will be protected, while in the case of other disasters, both buildings and movable property will be covered. Additionally, it was revealed that rural areas will also be included in the insurance coverage.
