CHP’s Bulut Criticizes Diyanet’s Budget and Expenditures
CHP Deputy Chairman for Public Relations and Media Relations Burhanettin Bulut has made striking remarks regarding the budget of the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet).
Bulut pointed out that the budget of the Diyanet has surpassed six ministries and noted that no austerity measures were implemented for the institution. He brought to light claims that the Diyanet organized a “special Umrah” trip with a group of 40 people and called for clarification on this matter.
Highlighting the frequent controversies surrounding Diyanet’s budget, Bulut emphasized the notable usage of luxury vehicles and expenditures by the institution. He questioned why austerity measures were not applied and whether these allegations were true.
