Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek met with Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) President Jin Liqun. The meeting took place at the Ministry building and focused on the country’s development goals.
Minister Şimşek highlighted that the AIIB has provided $4.5 billion in financing to the country since 2016. During the meeting, it was also decided to begin preparations for the AIIB’s first Country Program, which will cover the next three years.
The Finance Minister emphasized that, thanks to strong economic programs, the country will continue to be among the leading nations where international financial institutions invest.
