Two Suspects Arrested in Muğla for Causing Forest Fires

Muğla, Turkey – In a series of developments concerning the recent forest fires in the Muğla province, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on social media that two suspects have been apprehended. These suspects are believed to have started the fires in various districts, including Yatağan, Ula, and Datça.

Specifically, in Yatağan, two individuals were taken into custody in connection with the forest fire that erupted in the Yava neighborhood. Initial investigations suggest that beekeepers may have caused the blaze.

Furthermore, in Datça, a suspect was detained for allegedly igniting a forest fire in the Batır Kızılbük area. The minister pointed out the significance of protecting the nation’s forests, emphasizing their value as a national resource and a vital inheritance for future generations.

“Our forests are our national treasure,” Yerlikaya stated. “They are the most valuable legacy we can leave to our children.”

Yerlikaya’s comments were shared on his social media account, where the latest updates about the ongoing investigation and fire containment efforts continue to be posted.
