Turkish Navy Ship TCG ALEMDAR Makes Port Visit to Lisbon
The Turkish Navy ship, TCG ALEMDAR, conducted a significant port visit to Lisbon, Portugal, following its participation in the DYNAMIC MONARCH-24 Exercise in Arendal, Norway, held from September 25-28, 2024.
As part of the port visit, a reception was held on September 26, 2024, aboard the TCG ALEMDAR, attended by Haldun Koç, Ambassador of Turkey in Lisbon. The event saw participation from ambassadors of 11 countries, Lisbon Attachés, representatives from the Portuguese Armed Forces, as well as staff from the Turkish Embassy in Lisbon and their families.
On September 27, 2024, the ship’s commander, Navy Colonel Okan Erdem, paid an official visit to Vice Admiral Chaves Ferreira, the Portuguese Navy Commander. In return, Lieutenant Commander Amaral Henriques, Commander of NRP Corte Real, also visited TCG ALEMDAR, strengthening military cooperation between the two nations.
