ANKARA — Fuat Oktay, a Member of Parliament for Ankara and the Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) Foreign Affairs Committee, conducted significant engagements during his official visit to Cairo.
As part of the visit, Oktay met with Hazem Omar, the Chairman of the Egyptian Senate’s Foreign Affairs, Arab, and African Affairs Committee. The main agenda of the meeting centered around steps to end the massacres being carried out in Palestine by Israel, which have deeply affected the entire world. Both parties discussed in detail the regional developments and considered possible measures to achieve peace.
The bilateral talks also addressed the future of Turkish-Egyptian relations. Oktay and Omar explored steps to further strengthen cooperation in key sectors such as defense industry, tourism, energy, health, finance, and banking.
