The AK Party’s Ankara MP, Fuat Oktay, in his capacity as the Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) Foreign Relations Committee, visited Cairo. During the visit, Oktay met with businesspeople who have made Turkey one of the largest investors in Egypt. It was discussed that Turkey’s investments in Egypt have reached a total of $3 billion, creating employment for 100,000 people.
The meeting focused on the current state of economic and trade relations between Turkey and Egypt. Problems faced by businesspeople and potential solutions were discussed. Additional steps to deepen relationships and mutually increase current investments were evaluated.
