Turkish Minister Visits Meticulously Preserved Varosha in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
The Turkish Minister of Labor and Social Security, Prof. Dr. Vedat Işıkhan, paid a visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to participate in various programs and make official contacts.
During his visit, Minister Işıkhan, accompanied by TRNC’s Minister of Labor and Social Security, Sadık Gardiyanoğlu, explored the Varosha region, which has been closed for 46 years but started to open gradually in 2020 following a decisive mandate.
Joining Minister Işıkhan on this important trip were AK Party MPs Ceyda Bölünmez Çankırı, Zeki Korkutata, MHP MP Ahmet Erbaş, and the Turkish Ambassador to Northern Cyprus, Metin Feyzioğlu.
