Turkish Minister Emphasizes Commitment to a Sustainable World and Environment
The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, has highlighted their relentless efforts towards achieving a more sustainable world and environment. Yumaklı stated that the ministry plants and sows over 500 million saplings and seeds annually, emphasizing that these efforts go beyond mere afforestation.
Yumaklı remarked on the significance of forest cleanliness through the “Orman Benim” (Forest is Mine) campaign. He underscored the ministry’s dedication to preserving current natural values for future generations under the motto “Biodiversity is our tradition, our tradition is our future.”
Affirming the Ministry’s determination to protect the environment and maintain biodiversity, Yumaklı expressed his wish for collective effort in preserving the country’s unique beauty. He also celebrated World Environment Day and Environment Week on June 5th.
