Turkish Gendarmerie Greets Holidaymakers at Kapıkule Border Gate with Sweets and Safety Tips
Edirne Gendarmerie Command teams warmly welcomed expatriates arriving in Turkey for their annual holidays at the Kapıkule Border Gate with various treats and provided essential road safety information.
Each year, numerous expatriates travel from the countries they reside in to spend their vacations in their homeland. As customs and police teams work diligently to minimize waiting times for those entering Turkey, the gendarmerie teams are stationed at the control point at the border gate to ensure smooth operations.
Warm Hospitality and Safety Guidance
The gendarmerie teams greeted arriving expatriates with sweets and balloons for the children, fostering a friendly atmosphere. They also educated travelers on road safety and traffic regulations. The teams offered various tips for a trouble-free journey, ensuring that expatriates could travel safely.
Patrolling in a mobile police station vehicle, the gendarmerie teams maintained order and security around the border gate. These measures aim to provide expatriates with a safe and peaceful entry into Turkey.
Expressing Gratitude to the Gendarmerie
Eray Niyazoğlu, who traveled from Germany with his family, expressed happiness upon arriving in Turkey and thanked the gendarmerie teams. “The officers advised us to drive carefully and avoid stopping in unsafe places. They recommended taking breaks at regular intervals. It’s a wonderful initiative, and they also gave balloons to our children. We are proud to see our soldiers in this way,” he said.
Selahattin Şahin from Austria noted that they passed through the border gate without any waiting time. “The gendarmerie teams greeted us pleasantly and answered all our questions. We are very satisfied and happy to be in Turkey,” he remarked.
Sevda Korkar also thanked the gendarmerie teams for their warm reception.
