Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan Meets Mauritanian Counterpart in Djibouti to Strengthen Diplomatic Ties

On the day the Third Turkey-Africa Partnership Ministerial Review Conference was held in Djibouti, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had a meeting with Mauritanian Foreign Minister Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug.

The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen diplomatic relations between the two countries and to explore cooperation opportunities. Djibouti’s capital provides a significant platform for regional collaborations, and it is expected that this meeting will contribute to creating common ground in line with the strategic goals of Turkey and Mauritania.

Minister Fidan emphasized the importance of developing relations with Mauritania and stated that cooperation areas need to be expanded. Such meetings hold significance within the framework of Turkey’s policies aimed at deepening its ties with Africa.
