Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek’s Productive Visit to Singapore

Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek engaged in significant talks during a visit to Singapore. Şimşek presented the positive outcomes of Turkey’s stability and reform program to institutional investors and representatives from the real sector.

In meetings held with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lawrence Wong, potential areas of cooperation such as digital transformation, renewable energy, and support for start-ups were discussed. These discussions were reported to be highly productive.

Additionally, at the General Assembly meeting of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), Turkey’s future vision for combating money laundering and financing terrorism was extensively detailed.
