Turkish Armed Forces Seize Heavy Weaponry and Ammunition in Successful Anti-Terror Operation
The Turkish Armed Forces continue their robust efforts against the PKK terrorist organization through the ongoing Claw-Lock Operation. As part of the operation, search and sweep activities have resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of weapons and ammunition from terrorist groups in the region.
**Seized Weapons and Ammunition**
During the operation, heavily destructive items such as one SA-7 guided air defense weapon, two 14.5 mm DShK heavy machine guns, two 23 mm DShK machine guns, and two spare barrels for DShK machine guns were confiscated. Additionally, one Dragunov sniper rifle along with 22 magazines, ten Zagros sniper rifles, four magazines, and two bipods were found.
Moreover, four spare barrels for 7.62 mm PKMS machine guns, 15 hand grenades, and one anti-tank mine were seized from the terrorists. The operation also uncovered various other munitions including four AK-47 rifle magazines, 13 RPG-7 anti-tank rocket-propelled grenade munitions, and seven RPG-7 anti-personnel rocket-propelled grenade munitions.
**Ammunition and Communication Equipment**
Other materials obtained during the operation included 1,800 rounds of DShK machine gun ammo, 6,600 rounds of light weapons ammunition, 57 rounds of 60 mm mortar ammunition, and 40 RPG-7 rocket propulsion cartridges. Additionally, 90 precision mortar fuses, four Yaesu handheld radios, and one Yaesu vehicle radio were among the seized items.
**Operation’s Success**
This operation once again demonstrates the Turkish Armed Forces’ resolute stance in the fight against terrorism. Along with the seized living and medical supplies, the operation has significantly disrupted the terrorists’ logistical support.
