Turkish Armed Forces Neutralize Four PKK Terrorists in Northern Iraq
In a decisive operation in the Metina region of northern Iraq, Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) elements successfully neutralized four PKK terrorists. The operation, carried out by brave commandos, also led to the seizure of a significant cache of weapons and ammunition.
During the search and sweep activities in the terrorist hideouts, various weapons and equipment were discovered. Among the seized items were 1 M-16 infantry rifle and 9 magazines, 4 AK-47 infantry rifles and 19 magazines, 1 AT-4 anti-tank weapon, 1 Dragunov sniper rifle and 5 magazines, 1 Zagros sniper rifle, 1 7.62 mm PKMS machine gun, 1 RPG-7 rocket launcher, and over 4,000 rounds of various calibers of ammunition. Additionally, 28 hand grenades, various anti-tank and anti-personnel rockets, night vision binoculars, thermal weapon scopes, materials for making explosives, radios, electronic book readers, flash drives, radios, and solar energy panels were also seized.
This operation is seen as a testament to TSK’s resolute stance in the fight against terrorism.
