Turkey’s Defense Minister and Intelligence Chief Hold Official Visit to Malaysia
Turkey’s Defense Minister, Yaşar Güler, and the Director of the National Intelligence Organization, İbrahim Kalın, embarked on an official visit to Malaysia. Upon his arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Minister Güler first visited the Turkish Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, where he received a briefing from Ambassador Emir Salim Yüksel.
Following this, Güler, accompanied by Director Kalın, proceeded to the Malaysian Prime Minister’s Official Residence. The Turkish delegation was welcomed by Malaysia’s Defense Minister, Dato Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin. Subsequently, they held a meeting with Malaysia’s Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim.
The purpose of this official visit was reported to be discussions on defense cooperation and intelligence matters between Turkey and Malaysia. Such interactions are expected to strengthen the strategic relations between the two nations.
