Turkey Grapples with Income Inequality Amid Allegations of Inflation Data Manipulation

CHP Deputy Chairman in charge of Public Relations and Media Relations and Adana MP, Burhanettin Bulut, draws attention to a recent statement made by the President of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK). Bulut claims that the TÜİK President acknowledged in a presentation that “price hikes were postponed to July to ensure low inflation figures.”

Bulut describes this situation as unbelievable and emphasizes that figures like the TÜİK President are eager to become part of the Palace’s perception management. His statements bring to the forefront concerns over income inequality in Turkey and allegations of manipulation in inflation data.
