Turkey and Uzbekistan Sign Energy Cooperation Protocol at High-Level Strategic Council Meeting

Turkey and Uzbekistan took a significant step towards enhancing their strategic partnership with the signing of an “Energy Transformation Cooperation Protocol” following the Third Meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, held at the Presidential Complex in Turkey.

The Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources and his Uzbek counterpart, Curabek Mirzamahmudov, endorsed the protocol in the presence of the leaders of both countries. The agreement aims to support the sustainable economic development goals of Turkey and Uzbekistan.

Under the protocol, the two nations will collaborate on various projects in fields such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy markets, electricity transmission lines, and energy storage. This cooperation is expected to contribute positively to the energy transition processes of both countries, accelerating the progress in these critical areas.

The signed protocol underscores the shared commitment to enhancing energy transformation, which is seen as a pivotal component in achieving economic sustainability.
