Turkey and China Sign Crucial Agreement on Energy Transition Cooperation

Turkey and China have taken a significant step towards collaboration in the field of energy transition. During a visit to the People’s Republic of China by Turkey’s Energy and Natural Resources Minister, Alparslan Bayraktar, the two countries signed a “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Energy Transition.”

This agreement envisions joint efforts by Turkey and China on energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, and sustainable energy policies. The aim of the agreement is for both countries to make substantial advancements in their energy transition processes through knowledge sharing and technological cooperation.

According to a statement from Turkey’s Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, this memorandum of understanding will further strengthen cooperation in the energy sector and stimulate investments in clean energy sources, playing a crucial role in achieving environmental sustainability goals.

Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar noted that this agreement marks the beginning of a new era in energy cooperation between the two countries, stating, “Collaborations like this on energy transition are of great importance not only for our country but also for the global energy market.”
