TCG KINALIADA Corvette Visits Karachi Port After 100th Anniversary of Turkish-Japanese Diplomatic Relations

After participating in the 100th-anniversary events of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Japan, the TCG KINALIADA corvette returned to visit Karachi Port in Pakistan from July 30 to August 1, 2024. Upon its arrival, the vessel was welcomed with a ceremony attended by Turkish and Pakistani officials.

During the visit, TCG KINALIADA’s crew had official meetings with Muhammad Kamran, Governor of Sindh Province, Vice Admiral Raja Red Nawaz, Pakistan Field Commander, and Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi, Pakistan Navy Commander. The crew also conducted reciprocal visits with the Pakistan Navy vessel PNS BABUR, designated as a sister ship. On July 31, the Chief of Staff of the Turkish Navy, Vice Admiral İbrahim Özdem Koçer, along with the ship’s personnel, paid their respects at the mausoleum of Pakistan’s founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Additionally, a reception was hosted on the ship by the Turkish Navy Chief of Staff, Vice Admiral İbrahim Özdem Koçer, and Turkey’s Ambassador to Islamabad, Mehmet Paçacı. This event saw the attendance of Pakistan Field Commander Vice Admiral Raja Red Nawaz, foreign diplomatic representatives, the Pakistani Navy personnel, and Turkish delegates based in Pakistan.
