The brave Turkish Armed Forces have made a successful reconnaissance during the ongoing Claw-Lock Operation in northern Iraq. During search and scan activities conducted as part of the operation, a hideout belonging to terrorists was discovered.
Upon examination of the hideout, the following items were found:
– 14 RPG-7 anti-tank rocket launcher ammunition,
– 1 RPG-7 anti-personnel rocket launcher ammunition,
– 30 12.7 mm ammunition,
– 7 pressure-activated improvised explosive device (IED) mechanisms,
– 7 IED mechanisms rigged with explosive fuses,
– 17 propellant cartridges,
– 16 Alpha-fire devices,
– 3 access mines,
– 1 drill bit,
– 2 umbrellas,
– 2 jerrycans,
– Numerous battery blocks and other materials used in the making of IEDs.
This discovery is considered a significant step to prevent terrorists from continuing their activities in the region. The detected ammunition and devices were neutralized by the security forces in the area.
