Son of Martyr Honored with Sünnet Convoy in Amasya
In Amasya, a military vehicle was converted into a ceremonial car for the circumcision of a martyr’s son. Alp Aslan, the son of Martyr Specialist Sergeant Kadir Çakı, had a legendary sünnet convoy organized by his father’s comrades.
In 2018, 26-year-old Gendarmerie Specialist Sergeant Kadir Çakı lost his life during an operation against the PKK in the Dicle district of Diyarbakır. For his 7-year-old son Alp Aslan, a special circumcision ceremony was arranged. Starting from their home in the city center, mother Hanife Çakı handed a Turkish flag to her beloved son. A vehicle belonging to the Amasya Provincial Gendarmerie Command was specially decorated as the circumcision car, leading a convoy through the streets. The mother and son visited the martyr’s grave in Beldağ village to pray, accompanied by the convoy and gendarmerie teams.
“Martyr’s Child is Entrusted to Our State and Nation”
The martyr’s family held a wedding celebration in their village house. The circumcision ceremony was attended by Amasya Governor Yılmaz Doruk, who emphasized that the martyr’s child is a trust to the nation and the state. The Amasya Governorship shared footage of the convoy on social media.
