Maria Zakharova Criticizes IOC Decision on Russia’s Olympic Disqualification
MOSCOW – Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has voiced strong criticism over the disqualification of Russia’s national Olympic team. She asserted that the absence of Russian athletes is leading to a decline in spectator enjoyment and competition levels across various sports.
Zakharova specifically targeted the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) decision, describing it as imbued with injustice, bias, ideological elements, and discrimination. According to her, these issues are now evident to everyone.
