Russia Views Cooperation with Turkey on Syria Positively
According to a statement from the Russian Embassy in Ankara, Maria Zakharova, the Spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, emphasized the importance of regular contacts between Russia and Turkey regarding Syria. Zakharova noted that meetings between the foreign and defense ministries of both countries are also proceeding positively in this context.
Zakharova stated, “We look forward to closer cooperation with our Turkish partners within the Astana format.”
This announcement highlights the positive stance of Russia and Turkey toward expanding their cooperation on Syria.
