Russia Increases Use of National Currencies in Trade with SCO Countries
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member countries are increasingly using their national currencies for mutual payments. Putin shared that in the first four months of this year, the share of national currencies in Russia’s trade transactions with SCO members exceeded 92 percent. According to information obtained from the Russian Embassy in Ankara, this development indicates strengthening economic cooperation among SCO countries.
