RTÜK Launches Investigation into Prime Video’s “Sausage Party: Foodtopia”
Ebubekir Şahin, the Chairman of the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK), has made statements regarding the reactions to the animated production titled “Sausage Party: Foodtopia” available in Prime Video’s Turkey catalog.
In his statement, Şahin emphasized their sensitivity to content that targets the beliefs and cultural values that strengthen society, especially those that may have adverse effects on young people. Şahin said, “We have conducted the necessary reviews and sent the strongest warnings to Prime Video. We have also initiated a legal review regarding this debauched content.”
Şahin explained that the council’s monitoring experts have meticulously examined the production in question. He added, “The monitoring report will be addressed in the first upcoming Council meeting.”
