President Erdoğan Announces Equal Tuition Fees for Turkish Cypriot Students at Turkish Universities
Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that starting from July, students from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will be subject to the same tuition fees and contributions as students from the Republic of Turkey.
Erdoğan expressed his hopes that this decision would benefit Turkish Cypriot students wishing to study at Turkish universities. He emphasized the continued sharing of resources and future prospects with their Turkish Cypriot brothers.
Furthermore, Erdoğan reassured that the peace and stability established 50 years ago would be maintained and that they would not allow this situation to be compromised.
