Özgür Özel has strongly criticized the lack of rights provided to miners, spotlighting their living conditions. In his statements, he particularly emphasized that miners Tahir and Ali Faik had not received their rights before their deaths.
Özel stated, “Deaths of miners break everyone’s hearts. However, they are forgotten over time,” stressing the importance of society’s sensitivity on this issue. He also highlighted the sacrifices of miners and posed the question, “Are you now going to harm the lives of these lion-hearted people?”
Expressing the urgency of providing the necessary rights to prevent such deaths, Özel said, “Don’t do it, don’t eat into their rights. Give them what’s due!”
