Mayor of Istanbul, Ekrem İmamoğlu, has announced the opening of new water sports centers in the city to increase interest in aquatic activities. According to the announcement, centers have been inaugurated in the districts of Bakırköy, Avcılar, Beyoğlu, Kadıköy, and Tuzla. These centers have been established to promote water sports such as canoeing, rowing, and sailing, and to encourage more people to participate in these activities.
In his statement, İmamoğlu said, “We are working to see more canoeing, more rowing, and more sailing in Istanbul. With the new water sports centers we have opened, we aim to introduce our people to water sports.” Mayor İmamoğlu invited city residents to take advantage of these centers.
