New Bill Proposes Enhanced Social Security Rights for Employees
The Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) has received a new bill proposal focused on strengthening social security rights for employees. The proposal, initiated by Member of Parliament Selma Aliye Kavaf, seeks to amend the Social Insurances and General Health Insurance Law.
In a statement regarding the new regulation, Kavaf emphasized, “This regulation aims to reinforce the social security rights of our employees.” Kavaf underlined the importance of protecting employees’ social security rights, explaining that the proposal aims to minimize negative impacts on retirement rights for individuals temporarily out of employment.
Kavaf also highlighted that the proposed changes are designed to bring more flexibility to the labor market while safeguarding employees’ rights. The overall goal is to improve the dynamics within the labor market, ensuring a balanced approach to employment and social security.
