The Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Defense extended its best wishes for the celebration of July 1st Maritime and Cabotage Day. Recognizing this special day as a symbol of sovereignty and independence at sea, the Ministry honored the occasion with a tribute to Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s words: “Victory is achieved by the country that can control the sea, deliver what it needs, where it needs, and when it needs it.”
In its statement, the Ministry emphasized the determination to protect maritime rights and interests. Additionally, it reaffirmed the commitment to proudly wave the Turkish flag across the seas.
