By Haberyaz Jul25,2024

The Ministry of Family and Social Services has revamped its website to enhance access to social services and aid for disabled citizens. The newly developed “Accessibility Menu” aims to simplify access and use of the website’s features.

Extensive efforts to promote accessibility in Turkey are ongoing, as the Ministry strives to ensure “accessibility for everyone.” New features have been added to the Ministry’s website, aile.gov.tr, to enable all individuals to reach and utilize services independently and safely.

The “Accessibility Menu” was introduced to facilitate disabled citizens’ access to the website’s content and to programs targeted at women, children, the elderly, as well as relatives of martyrs, veterans, and others requiring special policies.

The “Accessibility Menu” includes features such as screen reader, selected area reader, link highlighting, large text, dyslexia-friendly mode, and contrast color settings. These features aim to provide easier and quicker access to the Ministry’s social services and aids via computers and mobile phones.

Mahinur ÖZDEMİR GÖKTAŞ, Minister of Family and Social Services, announced this initiative to enhance accessibility.
