“In Diyarbakır’s Çınar district, 7,900 hectares of agricultural land in Köksalan, Bağacık, Yazçiçeği, and Ağaçsever neighborhoods have burned. In Köksalan, 924 small livestock perished, and 83 severely injured small livestock were sent for slaughter to the Meat and Milk Authority. The authority purchased these animals from their owners, offering a transport premium. Moreover, 190 animals have been treated on-site.”

Regarding the situation in Mardin’s Mazıdağı district, Minister Yumaklı stated:
“In Mardin, 7,000 hectares of agricultural land in Yetkinler, Yücebağ neighborhoods, and Kelek Mezrası have burned. Of this, 4,000 hectares were unharvested wheat fields, and 3,000 hectares were stubble. Some irrigation equipment belonging to our farmers has been lost. No animal losses have been reported or identified in Mardin. Our provincial and district directorates will continue to support farmers engaged in plant and animal production with personnel. Furthermore, the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks will conduct both rehabilitation and wildlife enhancement activities in the burnt areas to quickly restore biodiversity and enrich it further. Our government will continue to address the aftermath through all relevant institutions. I extend my condolences to our citizens who lost their lives in the fire and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. Our best wishes and condolences go out to those affected by the fire.”
