Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, Murat Kurum, stated that their main priority is the happiness of citizens affected by the recent earthquake. Minister Kurum, alongside his team, conducted the Earthquake Region Reconstruction Meeting. He announced plans to visit Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, and Malatya starting Friday to conduct field inspections and meet with residents. Kurum emphasized, “We will work diligently across every street and household like bees in all cities affected by the earthquake.”
After assuming his position, Minister Murat Kurum initiated efforts to heal the wounds in the earthquake-hit region, known as “the disaster of the century.” During the Reconstruction Meeting held with deputy ministers and general directors, Kurum reiterated, “Our sole priority is our nation. Our first task is ensuring the happiness of our earthquake-stricken brothers and sisters. We have pledged to support our noble nation, which has demonstrated exceptional solidarity during this catastrophic event.”
“We will work diligently across every street and household like bees in all cities affected by this earthquake,” Kurum declared, outlining their plans to visit Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, and Malatya from Friday onwards to conduct onsite inspections and engage with the citizens.
Minister Murat Kurum further stated, “With God’s permission, the strength of our state, and our people’s prayers, we will swiftly rehabilitate the earthquake region just as we did with previous disaster-stricken areas. We will continuously work in the earthquake region until we fully heal the wounds and erase the aftermath of difficult days. No citizen will be left in distress, and our brothers and sisters will soon move into their new homes.”
