Minister of Environment Announces Reduced Payment Increase for TOKİ Housing Residents
In a significant update for hundreds of thousands of residents, Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change Murat Kurum shared crucial news on his social media account concerning those living in TOKİ (Housing Development Administration) housing and who are still making payments.
“WE REFERENCED THE CPI RATE FOR TOKİ MONTHLY PAYMENTS”
Minister Murat Kurum announced, “We have important news for the hundreds of thousands of citizens residing in TOKİ housing units who are still making payments. Previously, we adjusted TOKİ monthly installments based on civil servant salary increases. However, this time, we used the Consumer Price Index (CPI) as a reference. We have set the increase rate at 24% instead of 49%. Thus, we have effectively provided a 50% contribution to our citizens in terms of installment payments. Best wishes to everyone.”
