Mersin Provincial Gendarmerie Command’s traffic teams continue their swift and result-oriented operations to reduce traffic accidents caused by excessive speed, employing the domestically developed Medar Mobile Speed Detection System (MTS).
Advanced Speed Detection System
Mersin Traffic Gendarmerie teams can simultaneously monitor multiple vehicles on a four-lane road using the laser-based Medar Mobile Speed Detection System (MTS). This advanced system can identify the types of speeding vehicles, the lanes they are speeding in, and the coordinates of the speeding location. Additionally, photographs and video recordings of the violating vehicles are taken to provide evidence. The Speed Detection System can be used portably without being mounted on a vehicle, allowing for flexible and extensive inspections.
Effective Use Day and Night, in All Weather Conditions
The Mersin Provincial Gendarmerie Command stated that the Medar Mobile Speed Detection System can be effectively used in rainy, snowy, and foggy conditions, both day and night. This feature allows speed detection and control operations to be carried out seamlessly.
