In Kayseri, Gendarmerie teams continue their inspections using the local Medar Mobile Speed Detection System (MTS).
The Traffic Department of the Provincial Gendarmerie Command is committed to ensuring the safety and security of citizens, aiming to minimize fatalities and injuries in traffic accidents.
Gendarmerie teams are carrying out traffic inspections using MTS in Yeşilyurt Neighborhood, Melikgazi district. Additionally, radar inspections are being conducted in Develi, İncesu, Kocasinan, and Bünyan.
These devices, equipped with laser technology and capable of detecting speeds under any weather conditions, aim to reduce speed-related accidents and can monitor multiple vehicles simultaneously. They can detect the speed of four vehicles side by side and record the speeds of all vehicles exceeding the entered limits. The MTS system can be used both on vehicles and portably on tripods by the roadside.
During the traffic inspections conducted by the Gendarmerie, administrative fines were imposed on 5,833 drivers and vehicles detected for speeding in the first seven months of 2024.
It has been learned that traffic inspections by the Kayseri Provincial Gendarmerie Command will continue to ensure traffic safety on highways and minimize fatalities and injuries in accidents.
