Kayseri Authorities and NGO Representatives Address Recent Incidents Involving Syrian Families
Kayseri, Turkey – Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek, Director General of Migration Management Atilla Toros, and Mayor of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Memduh Büyükkılıç met with representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Kayseri to discuss the recent incidents in the city. Following the meetings, Director General Toros visited Syrian families whose homes and businesses were affected.
The meeting, held at the Kayseri Provincial Directorate of Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD), included major local figures such as Governor Gökmen Çiçek, Director General Atilla Toros, Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç, Provincial Police Chief Atanur Aydın, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Hakan Dedebağı, district governors, and mayors. Representing public institutions, chambers, NGOs, and neighborhood heads, the attendees evaluated the recent events in Kayseri.
Governor Çiçek and Director General Toros later convened with representatives from Syrian civil society organizations and community leaders to further address the situation.
During his visit, Director General of Migration Management Atilla Toros conducted inspections while visiting Syrian families whose homes and businesses were damaged in the recent incidents, ensuring they receive the necessary support.
