İYİ Parti Leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu Marks 571st Anniversary of Istanbul’s Conquest
İstanbul, Turkey – İYİ Parti Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu released a message in commemoration of the 571st anniversary of the conquest of Istanbul. Emphasizing the historical significance of Istanbul, Dervişoğlu stated, “Happy 571st anniversary of our precious Istanbul, the jewel of the world and the dream of all civilizations that have come and gone, which opened a new era.”
Stressing the importance of learning from history, Dervişoğlu addressed those making plans over Istanbul: “Those who do not take heed from history and plan over Istanbul should hear this; the center of the world is a Turkish city and will continue to remain so.”
Additionally, paying homage to the historical event, Dervişoğlu remarked, “On the occasion of the conquest of Istanbul, I respectfully and gratefully commemorate our ancestors and the great commander Fatih Sultan Mehmet, who changed the course of history with unwavering faith and determination.”
