İstanbul’s Mayor Announces Ambitious Solar Energy Plan for 2029
İstanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu has unveiled an ambitious plan aimed at transforming the city’s energy consumption. In his recent statement, İmamoğlu announced that the municipality plans to meet all its energy needs through solar power by 2029. This initiative aims to convert municipal buildings into 100% eco-friendly structures.
With this groundbreaking plan, the city expects to prevent the emission of 148,000 tons of carbon dioxide annually. İmamoğlu highlighted that the primary goal of this project is to protect the environment and ensure a sustainable future for İstanbul.
