Informal Summit of Turkic States Organization Held in Shusha

The Informal Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held in Shusha. Turkey was represented by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz. The summit saw the participation of Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, along with other delegation members.

Vice President Yılmaz expressed his pride in the level of cooperation among the member states of the OTS. Yılmaz highlighted the increasing economic and geographical importance of the Turkic States, emphasizing their critical role in energy supply security. He pointed out that energy and transportation projects, especially involving Turkmen gas, would significantly benefit both the Turkic World and Europe.

Yılmaz also addressed the development of the Middle Corridor, combating climate change, and the green transformation. He stressed that efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza would enhance cooperation and showcase the global role of the Turkic World.

He noted that regional crises are not only a test for the Turkic States but for the entire world, underscoring the motto “Unity is Our Strength” and the need for continued joint efforts.

The summit, held under the theme “Building a Sustainable Future through Transport, Connectivity, and Shared Climate Actions,” concluded with the signing of the Karabakh Declaration. Vice President Yılmaz thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for hosting the event and conveyed his goodwill to the member states of the organization.
