İstanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu has announced the details of the “Istanbul Renewal” project aimed at renovating risky buildings. The project targets buildings compromised by issues such as sea salt contamination, poor concrete quality, corroded reinforcements, and cracked columns. The goal is to renovate these buildings efficiently and safely, with financial support reaching up to 65% for low-income residents and retirees.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) aims to address the city’s building safety issues through this initiative. İmamoğlu invites citizens to apply for the project and reach agreements to renew their risky structures.
