Historical NATO Summit to Be Held in Washington
The United States, a founding member of NATO, established after World War II to prevent war and maintain peace, is part of a political and military alliance comprising democratic nations. Initially formed with 12 allied countries, NATO has expanded to include 32 members today. Throughout this period, NATO has repeatedly demonstrated that when nations unite with a vow to protect each other, they can offer their citizens peace, security, and stability.
